Circle In The Square Theatre
You're Just in Time to catch Broadway's most ambitious bet at a generationally successful jukebox musical. We venture to claim that so far, that bit about being successful is going to plan! Adapting the life story of the legend Bobby Darin, starring Jeremy Jordan (with Modern Family's Sarah Hyland making her Broadway debut), to the stage was a bold idea. There aren't plenty of people around NYC today going to musicals on a regular basis who even recognize who Bobby Darin was. Yet, in the eyes of many, he's one of the icons of the musical landscape in the sixties. Both his life and his success were brief, leaving fans with numerous what-ifs. This story aims to take a deep dive into the mind of a man who packed dance halls and movie theaters in the mid-20th century.
As mentioned, one of the main hurdles for Just in Time is still getting people excited about a story that many of them have a limited background on. Yet, Bobby Darin wasn't just one of the stars of show business in the '50s and '60s. He was engaged in activism, touring with RFK on the night in LA where he was taken. Not to provide too many spoilers, but being heavily influenced by those events, he spent the next year in solitude in a trailer. In a mere 37 years, it could be said that the man lived a complete journey, and the score to it was remarkable! Featuring iconic hits like "Beyond the Sea," "Mack the Knife," and "Dream Lover" performed by a live band in an immersive nightclub setting directed by Alex Timbers, even if Just in Time at Circle In The Square Theatre on Thursday 11th June 2026 is your introduction to this character, the performance can cut deep while making you want to groove your way out of the theater. That's a rare combination even for Broadway these days.
Do you want to have the prime seat in the house to take in the full stage design as this stellar cast performs "Splish Splash"? Then opt for the pro move and secure a seat in the middle of the theater, slightly back from the stage. That's where you're going to be able to soak up this experience in its full glory! The intimate thrust stage configuration at Circle In The Square surrounds you with the action on three or four sides, making every seat feel close to the performers. By the way, experience is a good word to describe this performance. The life of Bobby Darin has maybe more shadows than bright spots, yet his music is largely joyful. Being able to have those co-exist demonstrates the remarkable job the production team has done with Just in Time.
If you're browsing this, you're Just in Time to grab your seats for this one! Doors open at 6:30 PM for the 7:00 PM performance. They're starting at just $236, get yours right away by clicking the "Buy Tickets" link.
